    Superb

The service was amazing. When there was a busstrike on our last day the manager of the villa personally gave us a lift, so we wouldnt miss the plane. Everyone was very forthcoming, the villa offers a magnificient view, is wonderfully quiet and the gardens filled with the scent of fresh lavender. Breakfast was absolutely lovely, with a wide selection of fresh delicacies. We had a whirlpool in our suite, which was great and a little kitchen to test our own italian cooking skills. All in all a really wonderful place. It would be cool if there was free wifi and a lift up to the hotel was included (you know, because of the steps) but really these are small things considering how overall splendid the service was. We had a wonderful time at villa Il Frontaio. Thank you!

    Superb

The friendly staff.the views are amazing.we were given the junior suite, which was lovely with a small grassed area to sunbathe ,and a small kitchenette ,which was useful to do snacks and to keep drinks in the fridge. The staff recommended nearby restaurants and the local wine bar where we chatted to other holiday makers and the locals, who we practiced our broken italian on.there were approx 200 steps to the restaurants and a further 300 to the rocky beach.I Am 53 and am quite fit and managed it although I was gasping at the end.we had a hire car so drove round the bay to another beach the next day which was easier to access. We would definately stay there again, and it would be perfect if it had a small swimming pool.

The view!! The little terras with furniture by eatch room!

This is a summer stay hotel not for a stay in march.Mutch too cold and no heating in the breakfast area.No hot water for a shower because the sun pannels did not work, there wasn't enough sun.We did get free parking and two bottles of wine.

    Superb

The view. We had our own private terrace overlooking the Mediterannean and with a view on Positano to the west. The fireworks display from our terrace over New Years was very memorable -- each town along the Amalfi Coast setting off their own fireworks in friendly competition. The citizens of Praiano were also extremely hospitable/friendly.

It took a little while to get the temperature optimal within our large room (it was cold), but eventually got there. Many prior to us have complained about the 200 steps up to the Villa. My wife and I are quite active, so didn't really see this as an issue. It made it all the more rewarding to return home at the end of the day!

    Good

The staff and ambiance of the hotel were superb! Very helpful and friendly staff and some of the best capucinos we've ever had. We even enjoyed the steps involved getting to and from the hotel. (Not for the weak-of-heart, 200m the 40 steps down OR 220 steps from the village up-- to get to the beach from the village it was another 400 or so steps, lost count after a while, but quite the scenery and quite enjoyable). The view was quite good, although a bit overstated on the web-site.

Mosquitos could be a problem, in the area although at the hotel they were quite kind as to provide repellants for the room so we had no problem! Our bathroom had a bit of a mold problem.

    Fabulous

Staff very helpful. A small hotel/guest house which was perfect for our needs. The room (a suite) was very large and light with wonderful balcony. The view was excellent.

Not really. However, do note that as is usual with many/most hotels on Amalfi coast, it involved walking up and down steps. The hotel website makes this very clear - so do consider this if intending to stay.

    Fabulous

The staff were great - very friendly and very helpful in terms of what to do and where to eat while in Praiano. The rooms were nicely appointed and comfortable and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Praiano was a good location along the coast with facilities in the town and easy bus access to Amalfi and Positano.

We had a small issue with the stairs as our son had damaged his knee in sports before we got there.

The staff was very friendly and the accommodations themselves most interesting, nicely decorated rooms and very nice washroom amenities

    parking was a bit tricky

    Exceptional

I loved it! Probably my favourite hotel I have stayed in. The service was amazing and so were the rooms. We loved the view and the area - thanks to all the staff for making our stay so memorable.

    Superb

The staff were very helpful. The villa had an amaing view which we enjoyed from sitting in our private garden. Besides the towns' church bells (which you seem to hear in every Italian town) it was quiet. The breakfast, although basic, was very good.

The 202 steps from the town up to the villa's....however on any Amalfi Coast town you will not escape steep hills and steps.

    Very good

The room was a good size with an outdoor area to sit, relax and enjoy the view. The breakfast offered a good variety of fruits, yoghurts, cereals, cold meat, cheese, tomatoes, boiled eggs. Sweet croissants were brought to your table and also tea or coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The biggest thing was the steps. My husband counted - 256 in total from the foot of the steps until we got to the door of our room - stairs that is - not footsteps as there were a few small sections of straight paths. It was another trek to get to the beach, so we never ended up going swimming. It was hard to tackle those steps after a long day of walking around seeing the sites. By the end of our stay we were a lot fitter!!! Also .....not so much a complaint - but a word of warning - if you are wanting to get some laundry done. You aren't able to wash your own clothes, you must use the services of the villa at €5 per wash which I thought was ok. I left 2 separate bundles of clothes - one dark and 1 light - on the bed with a note for them to be washed - but I never left specific instructions to wash them separately. When I got them back, quite a few of my white & light clothes had a rust colour staining going through them. At first I thought it was because the fabric had been burnt in the dryer - but SImona said it was due to the fact that one of the darks had run - which was a new rust coloured shirt. Simona had two pairs of bras cleaned again - which were the worst of the clothes - but it didn't fix them. Although they had been "good" clothes, and the white bra was brand new - they aren't good any more - which makes it the most expensive laundry service I have ever had!!. So - be very explicit about instructions or wait until you can do your own laundry elsewhere.

    Fabulous

Location, great view, good value for money

Ordered a porter on first day but hotel missed it so we had to drag own luggage down 40 steps. But friendly service for the rest of our stay made up for initial hiccup.

    Fabulous

Very friendly staff! Amazing view from the balcony, clean rooms and huge wonderful bathroom! Nohing to declare

The location was (for me) not favourable. Praiano is very small and if you want to go out for a drink, you should better stay in Positano. On the other it was very nice, quiet and relaxing! Just the 200steps to the hotel are terrible in the heat...

Excellent location, views, facilities and staff. Villa II Frantoio was perfect. Great location for our honeymoon. Praiano was such a friendly town with lovely restaurants which made our stay even more special.
